Aviation History of Glen Haven Area

Tuesday, Aug. 16th, 7 PM - Glen Haven Town Hall

From proposed 1929 Aero Landing Field in Glen Haven to helo-pad on Dunraven to Ranger Jack Moomaw - investigates (1933) "Plane Cracks Up In North Fork", nearby WW II bomber crashes, 1951 airliner crash on Crystal mountain, Bulwark Ridge crash found 9 years later by Retreat resident. Helicopter crash in Retreat 1972 .

How about area WW II pilots, civilian pilots, airline pilots, home built planes - we have and had them all.

Digital Projector

The GHHS has a digital projector that is available for use throughout the community, such as for GHAVFD training and the Glen Haven and Retreat HOAs. !  It is a commercial-grade InFocus LP540 and comes in a carrying case with all the cables. It has VGA, composite video, and svideo inputs.  Contact Duke to reserve it.
